The girls had their dance recital on Sunday. So many talented children danced all afternoon. My oldest took Hip hop this year and they danced as soldiers. The little one took jazz and they danced to Abba's "Dancing Queen". So cute! They are both looking forward to next year's classes already.
Over the weekend I taught the oldest how to knit and the youngest learned how to crochet. They both thought it was great fun and worked really hard. I helped out a bit but they actually did really well and learned quickly. The oldest and I knitted sweaters for the stuffed animals and the little one crocheted lots and lots of headbands for her dolls.
When I think of autumn I always think of strong colors. This is one of my favorite autumn shots of my oldest. The leaves add a lot of strong colors to the shot but I think my girl adds just as much with her big, dark eyes and shiny hair.
For this week's black theme I immediately thought of my little one with her dark, expressive eyes and her black jacket. A jacket that used to belong to her big sister and because of that and the color is "cool" according to the youngest in our family.
