My contribution to "Slice of Life" is my little/big 8-year-old. She turned 8 yesterday and we got her a digital camera. She was so happy about it and wanted to go to the park to try it out. Luckily she posed a bit for her mummy as well.
Tulips - I just love having them in the house this time of the year. They are a sure sign that spring is coming and we really need those signs now. I also like that these shots show a very delicate flower but still look a bit gritty.
We went down to the harbour to look at all the ice and different ice formations. I found this chain frozen into the ice and love how it looked like a heart on the suface. Some of you might remember this shot from my blog. I entered it for "Black and White Wednesday" a couple of weeks ago.
I found this shot of my little one when I went through some old photos on my computer. I had to smile when I remembered how she used to love that Jack-in-the-box. At first she was scared to death of that little dog popping up but once she had it figured out she found it hilarious and used to laugh out loud. Today it's safely tucked away for her to save among her baby things.
My girls walking off into that gorgeous sunlight behind our house. I love this shot not only because of the light but for how sweet they were to each other and how the older took the little one's hand when she found it difficult to walk through that tall grass.
This is one of the outtakes from our little photo shoot for the theme "Red". The little one was just being silly the whole time and made the oldest laugh hysterically. I ended up entering a shot of just my oldets in the end because the little one was just not in the mood. I keep coming back to this shot though. It makes my laugh every time I look at it and it totally sums up that shoot.
